About us Patron trustees and managers Meet Mountbatten's trustees Trustee Angela Anderson Angela Anderson is an experienced senior leader and clinician, with significant experience in leading NHS community services. Most recently, before her retirement, she was chief of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals and Director of Nursing (Physical Health), at Solent NHS Trust (now the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Foundation NHS Trust). She has worked in hospitals in Surrey, London and Hampshire and was part of a team of national leaders who developed and delivered community children’s nursing services, including the development of excellent end-of-life care for children in their own homes. In 2023, Angela was appointed Chief Nurse at the Solent NHS Trust, describing this as one of the proudest achievements of her career. She played a key role in the development of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare Foundation Trust. Angela, who holds an MBA, previously established a clinical network for children, young people and maternity services across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. She also played a key role in both the Portsmouth community and mental health services. During the Covid-19 pandemic, as a clinical director, Angela oversaw the delivery of four vaccinations centres, across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Angela was shortlisted for the Nursing Times's Nurse Leader of the Year, 2021. In 2022, she was part of the team shortlisted for an HSJ award, for the Covid-19 Vaccination Service.
