Remembering with Ribbons with Mountbatten Isle of Wight this summer

Remembering with Ribbons with Mountbatten Isle of Wight is a chance to dedicate a colourful ribbon in memory of a loved one who has died.

Each Summer, a sea of colourful ribbons transforms our beautiful Chelsea Garden at Mountbatten Isle of Wight, each one representing someone special who is loved, remembered, and deeply missed. 

"Tying a ribbon is a small act, but it means the world. It honours those we love and keeps their memory alive". 

Read on to find out how to dedicate a ribbon at Mountbatten Isle of Wight this summer and attend a special Remembering with Ribbons event on Sunday, 19 July.

How to take part in Remembering with Ribbons with Mountbatten Isle of Wight:

Donate and dedicate a ribbon

Your ribbon and message will be displayed on our virtual tree, and we'll tie a ribbon in our Chelsea Garden on your behalf. If you would like to place a ribbon yourself, collect one from Mountbatten from 6 July. You can also tie a ribbon at the remembrance event on Sunday, 19 July, 2pm - 4pm.

On Sunday, 19 July, join us to remember and celebrate your loved one's life — with the warmth and closeness that Remembering with Ribbons brings.

Show your appreciation for our fantastic Mountbatten nurse and carers by donating to support their work and tying a ribbon in thanks for their compassionate care.

How to dedicate a ribbon to a Mountbatten nurse or carer this summer.

Whether you want to show your support to a particular nurse, or dedicate your ribbon to all of our nurses, you can donate online here. Your ribbon and message will be displayed on our virtual tree, and we'll tie a ribbon in our Chelsea Garden on your behalf. Because she was being so well cared for, and because she knew she would be safe here, I got to just be her husband again. We could spend precious time together.

Rob will be tying a ribbon in memory of his beloved wife, Tracey, this Summer. Rob and Tracey were supported by Mountbatten through their hardest days with love, kindness, and genuine care.
