Body guard T pump training is available to book as a face-to-face course with hospice charity, Mountbatten Isle of Wight.

By the end of this body guard T Pump course, you will be able to:

• Understand professional accountability
• Know the advantages and disadvantages of the use of a syringe driver
• Be aware of the common medications used
• Recognise the importance of essential conversations and consent
• Know how to identify preferred sites
• Know how to monitor and perform safety checks and trouble shooting
• Understand the procedure for inserting a Saf – T – Intima (practice during session)
• Know how to use a Body Guard T Pump

*This session will not check or sign off competencies of setting up a syringe driver or administering medicines. A policy will need to be in place in your own workplace to ensure competencies are checked within your team.

Cancellation policy:

We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change plans. However, to ensure our costs are covered in the event of cancellation the following charges will apply.

• Cancellations (and requests to transfer bookings to another date) made with at least 8 weeks’ notice will incur a £25 administration fee.
• No refund of course fees (partial or full) will be available where notice to cancel is received within 8 weeks of the course start date, or in the event of non-attendance or partial attendance.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Mountbatten cancels a course you will be given the option to transfer your booking or receive a full refund of the course fees.
