The Debi Botos Quartet with Olivia Cure will appear at Mountbatten Isle of Wight, as part of the Isle of Wight Jazz Weekend, on Thursday, 17 September.

From an early age Debi Botos has cultivated an interest in the 'Gypsy' music of Hungary, where she was born into a family of musicians.

A self-taught musician who is now in high demand, she has created a free and exciting blend of folk and 'Gypsy jazz' and is inspired by Django Reinhardt.

She has recently collaborated on a number of projects with Island-based vocalist Olivia Cure.

This will be a captivating blend of musical styles, with the added bonus of Jon Thorne (double bass), plus a guest musician to be announced.
