By the end of this introduction to palliative and end of life care course, you will be able to:

• Understand the key principles which underpin high quality, person-centred palliative and end of life care provision
• Develop awareness of the clinical signs from the last year to the last days of life
• Understand language and communication used in end of life care
• Explain the principles of palliative and end of life care
• Describe how to recognise clinical signs of dying
• Identify priorities of care and management of symptoms in the last days of life
• Describe the principles of effective communications at end of life

Cancellation Policy:

We understand that sometimes it is necessary to change plans. However, to ensure our costs are covered in the event of cancellation the following charges will apply.

• Cancellations (and requests to transfer bookings to another date) made with at least 8 weeks’ notice will incur a £25 administration fee.
• No refund of course fees (partial or full) will be available where notice to cancel is received within 8 weeks of the course start date, or in the event of non-attendance or partial attendance.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, Mountbatten cancels a course you will be given the option to transfer your booking or receive a full refund of the course fees.
