The Cure performed a blistering closing set at the Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2026 with a Mountbatten Isle of Wight sunflower on stage.

Pictures of You, Friday I'm In Love and The Lovecats were among the classics performed to huge crowd at the sold-out event.

"If I don't talk, we can play another song," joked Robert Smith, as the band squeezed in Boys Don't Cry  before the final fireworks over Seaclose Park.

If you picked up a sunflower brooch over the weekend, you were in good company.

The band had one of Mountbatten's iconic sunflowers on stage with them, attached it to an amp.

It remained throughout, as they closed the stage on Sunday night, following earlier performances from The Kooks, The Last Dinner Party and the Island's own Level 42.

Thanks so much for your support, The Cure. Here are some pictures of...well...you.
